Years ago I came to New York to pursue a career in the theater.
After years of performing I discovered that dancing eight shows a week, even on Broadway,
isn't all it's cracked up to be. Then during an especially long running production lasting
"Now and Forever" I felt I needed a creative outlet and decided to take a pottery class, and the rest is history.
Though I have always appreciated the earthy qualities of most handmade pottery,
I wanted to create work that had a more contemporary, graphic feeling.
Eventually my pieces became three-dimensional canvases on which to play with graphic geometric and optical designs.
Each piece is a handmade original that is both functional and decorative.
